Windsurfing: Shoreham Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: Session time = 2-5pm Surf / Sea State: LT@3pm Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunshine and showers Max Speed: Distance Covered:
The windy week continues with the best days all coinciding nicely with my
free time and decent tides yay. Today - bonkers windy. Having checked out
Hove en route which looked mental and not much fun I arrived at Shoreham to
be greeted by the sight of plenty of fellow slackers on the water all maxed
on tiny tiny sails. Quote BillD: "I'm mullered on a 3.7"...
So up went the 4.0 rigged pancake flat. And only 15 minutes later a huge
squall passed over. Arse. The wind went wierd for the next half
hour...offshore...onshore...mental....calm...and I was cursing my luck
thinking that might be the end of play. But eventually it returned and with
a vengeance allowing a solid full power (literally...) 90 mins in
surprisingly decent waves by Shoreham standards especially for the time of
the year and in the company of Nik Baker amongst others. I scored a few
nice turns but unfortunately fatigue at the best part of the session (the
end) prevented a 4 star performance.
Forecast says even WINDIER tomorrow. :-0
